Dental implants are a permanent way to restore the gaps in your smile that are caused by missing teeth. They work with your smile, blending with your natural teeth so your friends and family won’t notice a difference. Another proven advantage of dental implants is how you care for them; like your natural smile, dental implants only require daily brushing, flossing, and routine visits to see Drs. Terence Lau & Casey Lau.
If you’re missing a tooth or have one that’s severely damaged or decayed, we can fill the gap with a single implant in just two office visits.
First, our staff at Mid-Valley Dental Implants will surgically place the implant fixture in your jawbone. We’ll complete this process in our Northridge office.
After the implant has fused with your jawbone through a process called osseointegration, you’ll return to our office, and we’ll secure your customized porcelain crown.
Multiple Tooth Restoration
Much like single tooth restorations, we can restore multiple holes in the same amount of visits. If you’re missing teeth, we recommend seeking professional help so that you avoid the negative effects that tooth loss carries. In regards to the adverse impacts, dental implants stimulate healthy jawbone growth and will prevent your teeth from shifting out of place.
If you’re missing multiple teeth that are nonadjacent, Drs. Terence Lau and Casey Lau may suggest restoring the various gaps with single dental implants. Alternatively, some patients are missing teeth that are adjacent to one another. In these cases, we might recommend a partial implant-supported bridge. Here, we’ll use an implant to secure a single attractive prosthetic that’s anchored to your natural teeth.
Some of our patients currently wear dentures and want a more stable option. Additionally, we have patients that are missing an entire arch of teeth. In these situations, a full-arch restoration is ideal. With our implant-supported dentures, we can secure a beautiful prosthetic that will boost the esthetics and strength of your smile.
One of the most significant advantages of a full-arch restoration is that you’ll leave our office with a functional temporary restoration after a single visit. Once your mouth adjusts to the implants, Drs. Terence Lau and Casey Lau will place your permanent restoration.
